I had hoped to improve my previous FAI triangle (from Jan 2011), but the condidions were not favourable. It was rock-and-roll the whole day and near Temascaltepec I was in a bad place and the thermals were wicked and erratic. Fortunately, I held the ship together, managed to climb high enough to get ouf that hole and head for the Monarcas. Over the mesa, at 3200 meters (and not a glider in sight) I decided I'd had enough and made a move for Jovan's (where I'd parked my car). Was happy to be back on terra firma, and glad to get some saddle-time before Kenya. Valle de Bravo never disappoints!
